Job Description

  • Support and monitor quality assurance activities for aerospace and defense products
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and government regulations
  • Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and nonconformance management initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts through structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Review and interpret technical documentation including drawings, specifications, ICDs, and ATPs
  • Support configuration-controlled manufacturing and quality environments
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues
  • Participate in internal and external audits while ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to evaluate product and process quality performance
  • Support production operations by addressing quality concerns that impact manufacturing flow
  • Implement and maintain quality processes aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001, and related standards
  • Analyze quality trends and recommend process improvements to increase reliability and performance
  • Assist with quality planning and verification activities for new and existing products
  • Promote best practices in quality management across manufacturing operations
  • Support Lean and operational excellence initiatives as required
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory, customer, and company quality requirements

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
  • 4+ years of Quality Engineering experience within aerospace or a similar manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, MIL-STD, and regulated manufacturing standards
  • Experience supporting flight-qualified or high-reliability hardware preferred
  • Proven expertise in root cause analysis, corrective action, and nonconformance management
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, ICDs, and engineering documentation
  • Experience working within configuration-controlled environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, structured problem solving, and process improvement methodologies preferred
  • Familiarity with Minitab is a plus
  • ASQ/ASQC Quality Engineer Certification preferred
