Job Description

  • Champion a strong safety culture and support initiatives that promote a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Lead quality planning activities for new products, process improvements, and product modifications to ensure successful implementation and validation.
  • Develop and implement quality planning and risk management tools to support product and process quality throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze operational and quality data to identify trends, reduce defects, improve process performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and enhance corrective action processes to ensure timely resolution of quality concerns and sustained compliance with established standards.
  • Develop, track, and report key quality and manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Support new product introduction and product development activities by ensuring quality requirements and deliverables are achieved throughout the development process.
  • Create, maintain, and improve quality management system documentation, procedures, work instructions, and audit programs.
  • Lead or support internal and external audits, compliance activities, and interactions with regulatory, certification, or customer requirements as applicable.
  • Develop and deliver training programs related to quality systems, quality tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Support supplier quality activities including supplier qualification, performance monitoring, issue resolution, nonconforming material management, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate across engineering, operations, supply chain, and customer-facing teams to drive sustainable quality improvements and operational excellence.
  • Participate in strategic quality initiatives and special projects aimed at improving customer satisfaction, product reliability, and overall business performance.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience driving quality, process, or continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience supporting operations and manufacturing processes.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred; demonstrated application of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies strongly desired.
  • Professional quality certifications are a plus.
  • Experience utilizing quality tools, root cause analysis methodologies, statistical techniques, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and drive corrective actions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and statistical analysis software.
  • Experience working with business collaboration and document management platforms preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including influencing stakeholders and driving change.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to operational excellence.
