The Quality Engineer will be primarily responsible for planning and directing activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards. The Quality Engineer will support PPAP submissions, leading quality investigations with root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Our client is a privately owned manufacturer specializing in precision metal stamping and complex, high-tolerance components and assemblies. Serving the automotive, medical, electronics, and industrial markets, they provide comprehensive capabilities from engineering and tooling through prototyping, production, and quality assurance.

Job Description

  • Issue and follow up on all internal, customer and supplier corrective actions. Generate a weekly report on the status of all corrective actions.
  • Assist Quality Control Manager in PPAP's and annual resubmissions of active parts.
  • Directs workers engaged in measuring, testing, and tabulating data concerning quality and reliability.
  • Control suppliers ISO and IATF certifications making sure those suppliers are up to date.
  • Keep MRB cage current.
  • Update QIP's when necessary.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 5+ years of manufacturing experience within quality
  • Experience with APQP
  • Experience with IATF 16949
  • Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAPs
  • Metal stamping experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Sponsorship is not provided
