Job Description

  • Act as the primary advocate for customer quality expectations and concerns
  • Lead root cause investigations and drive effective corrective actions
  • Maintain and enhance Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 / AS9100)
  • Collaborate with engineering and production to optimize processes and inspections
  • Implement and monitor SPC, Lean, and 6S quality initiatives
  • Support inspection teams to ensure consistent product compliance
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Train employees to reduce defects and inspection rework
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintain organized workspaces
  • Travel periodically between nearby manufacturing facilities as needed

The Successful Applicant

  • Prior experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of inspection methods, gauging, and measurement techniques
  • Hands-on experience with CMM equipment and CAD-based systems
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical analysis tools
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to meet physical demands and pass required vision testing
