Job Description

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Support adherence to AS9100 and customer-specific quality standards
  • Maintain and enhance QMS documentation, procedures, and workflows
  • Participate in internal, external, and certification audits



Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving

  • Analyze production processes to drive quality improvements and reduce waste
  • Lead root cause analysis using tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto, and FMEA
  • Implement and validate corrective/preventive actions



Customer Quality Management

  • Investigate complaints, returns, and non-conformances
  • Lead containment and corrective actions while preparing 8D reports
  • Support customer-driven quality initiatives and performance targets



Production & Engineering Support

  • Provide technical guidance on quality standards and inspection criteria
  • Review control plans, inspection methods, and validation processes
  • Support first article inspections, qualifications, and new product launches



First Article Inspection (FAI)

  • Coordinate AS9102-compliant FAIR activities and documentation
  • Review drawings/specs and ensure full traceability
  • Manage submission packages and maintain FAI records (partial/full/delta)
  • Track performance metrics and improve FAI efficiency



Supplier Quality

  • Support supplier qualification, audits, and performance tracking
  • Drive supplier corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts



Data & Risk Management

  • Analyze quality data (scrap, FPY, returns, supplier performance)
  • Identify trends to reduce cost of poor quality
  • Support risk assessments and mitigation planning

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years in quality engineering or manufacturing quality environments
  • Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace or automotive
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 and quality management systems
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience with inspections, measurement systems, and calibration practices
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong communication skills with cross-functional collaboration experience



Preferred

  • ASQ certifications (CQE or similar)
  • Internal auditing experience
