Job Description

  • Oversee welding quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Perform weld inspections to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Verify products meet AWS and internal quality requirements.
  • Partner closely with welders, supervisors, and production personnel to resolve quality concerns.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing floor.
  • Ensure quality processes are consistently followed throughout production.
  • Spend significant time in a hands-on manufacturing environment supporting daily operations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Quality Engineering, Quality Inspection, or Manufacturing Quality experience.
  • Experience inspecting welds or supporting welding operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with welding quality standards and inspection methods.
  • Knowledge of AWS welding standards is highly preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience within metal fabrication, structural steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or similar industries.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with production and operations teams.
  • Engineering degree is a plus but not required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
