Job Description

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, driving investigations through resolution.
  • Manage customer complaints, communicate progress updates, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Lead root cause analysis activities and partner with production, engineering, and operations teams on problem-solving initiatives.
  • Analyze quality data and performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement and prevent recurring issues.
  • Review, evaluate, and disposition non-conforming materials and products using statistical and analytical methodologies.
  • Support APQP, PPAP, and new product development activities by providing quality expertise and guidance.
  • Conduct internal audits and participate in supplier quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement process improvements that enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, quality metrics, corrective action plans, and performance updates to stakeholders.
  • Support customer, supplier, and third-party audits while ensuring compliance with quality management systems.
  • Educate and mentor cross-functional teams on quality methodologies, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Travel periodically to customer and supplier locations to support audits, investigations, and corrective actions.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related role.
  • Experience managing customer quality complaints and driving corrective actions to closure.
  • Strong root cause analysis, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience utilizing quality tools and methodologies within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and other quality core tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting ISO 9001 quality systems; IATF 16949 experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with occasional travel requirements.
