Job Description

  • Serve as the site leader for the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.
  • Act as the management representative for third-party certifications and audits, maintaining adherence to quality and special process requirements.
  • Lead internal audit programs, supplier quality initiatives, calibration systems, and non-destructive testing activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts using Lean Six Sigma and DMAIC methodologies to reduce defects, improve process capability, and enhance overall operational performance.
  • Facilitate root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action activities utilizing structured problem-solving tools, including 8D methodologies.
  • Serve as the primary quality liaison for customers, managing complaints, corrective actions, and quality improvement projects.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product quality, process control, and supplier performance.
  • Oversee gauge control and calibration programs to ensure measurement system integrity and compliance.
  • Analyze quality data and key performance indicators using statistical tools to identify trends, mitigate risks, and drive decision-making.
  • Lead and develop quality personnel while promoting a culture of quality, compliance, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience leading quality functions within a regulated manufacturing environment, with aerospace experience strongly preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt required; Higher than Green Belt certification highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and manufacturing quality principles.
  • Experience utilizing quality tools such as SPC, PFMEA, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership, team development, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing supplier quality and driving performance improvements with a total cost of ownership mindset.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
  • Self-motivated professional capable of working independently while effectively collaborating across multiple departments.
