They specialize in metal forming processes, and have been experiencing steady growth over the last few years.Job DescriptionDirect staff resources and organizational structure to ensure alignment with business objectives and support both new and existing customers.Identify opportunities to enhance Quality Engineering processes and implement industry best practices.Evaluate and improve Inspection Department processes to drive efficiency and quality performance.Maintain and oversee the Customer Issue Report process.Coordinate and track the Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) process, while leading the Material Review Board (MRB) and scheduled reviews of discrepant material hold areas.Administer the Corrective Action System, including root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, effectiveness verification, and accuracy of documentation.Manage and maintain the Late Shipment reporting and tracking system.Analyze and monitor Quality Department workload metrics, including QC40 tickets, late shipments, RGAs, and other key performance indicators on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Develop and execute strategies to address adverse quality trends and reduce the frequency and impact of quality issues.Manage Quality Engineering departmental budgets and ensure responsible financial stewardship.Coach and support Quality Engineering and Inspection leaders in controlling departmental spending and maintaining budget compliance.Monitor Quality Engineering phone queue coverage to ensure appropriate staffing during business hours, reporting weekly results and corrective actions for significant variances.Contribute to the development and planning of departmental financial budgets.Provide leadership that motivates, engages, and inspires high-performing teams.Evaluate team performance and deliver timely coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.Address performance, employee relations, and job satisfaction concerns while balancing individual and organizational needs.Design and implement onboarding, training, and professional development programs.Lead full-cycle talent management activities, including recruitment, employee development, performance management, and succession planning.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
