Job Description

  • Lead quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing and fabrication operations.
  • Perform and oversee inspections of components, welds, and assemblies.
  • Conduct and/or oversee NDT activities, including VT, MT, PT, and UT.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools.
  • Interpret and apply applicable AWS, ASME, AWWA, and ISO standards.
  • Manage non-conformances, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Oversee welder qualification and certification programs.
  • Review and approve WPSs, PQRs, and WPQs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable welding codes and customer specifications.
  • Partner with production and engineering to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Track quality metrics and implement initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and waste.
  • Provide quality and welding-related training to production and quality teams.

The Successful Applicant

  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
  • 7+ years of quality experience in manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or a related industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS welding codes and applicable industry standards.
  • Experience managing weld certification programs and welder performance testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings.
  • Experience with NDT methods and quality management systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in heavy industrial or structural fabrication.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar QMS standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Welding, Quality, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
