This role offers the opportunity to work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and leadership while helping strengthen quality systems across multiple operations.Job DescriptionLead quality control systems, SOPs, and processes across two manufacturing sites.Own the laboratory quality management system and maintain ISO/IEC 17025 compliance.Serve as the primary contact for A2LA accreditation, audits, surveillance visits, and recertification.Manage the ISO 9001 quality management system and support ongoing compliance.Conduct internal audits of quality systems and manufacturing processes.Identify nonconformances and lead corrective and preventive actions.Plan and perform calibration and verification of laboratory and production equipment.Ensure measurement equipment remains calibrated and traceable to applicable standards.Maintain measurement uncertainty budgets, calibration procedures, and equipment records.Operate precision measurement equipment including Starrett HDV 300, Pratt & Whitney super-micrometers, and optical comparators.Analyze quality, calibration, and laboratory data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.Lead MSA/Gage R&R activities and develop meaningful quality performance metrics.Investigate out-of-tolerance conditions, measurement discrepancies, and quality issues.Lead root-cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.Partner with customers to understand product feedback and resolve quality concerns.Develop and lead quality improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving methods.Create and maintain quality and laboratory SOPs, work instructions, and training documentation.Train and mentor laboratory and quality technicians on measurement methods and quality standards.Develop and communicate quality metrics aligned with organizational objectives.Manage relationships with calibration vendors, accreditation bodies, and external auditors.Promote a culture of measurement accuracy, quality discipline, and continuous improvement.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
