Our client is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead all quality assurance and quality control activities. This role requires a strong presence on the manufacturing floor, driving quality initiatives, resolving production issues, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The Quality Manager will oversee the quality function and directly supervise one team member.
  • Four day workweek, three day weekends!

Our client is a family-owned custom metal stamping manufacturer serving the agricultural and automotive industries. With in-house capabilities including in-die assembly, welding, and plating, the company delivers high-quality, value-added solutions to its customers. Operating under ISO 9001 standards, the organization employs approximately 30 people and offers an attractive four-day workweek, with 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday and Fridays off.

Job Description

  • Assess production outputs to ensure company is meeting customer requirements.
  • Prepare monthly reports of quality performance
  • Monitor all quality practices and procedures
  • Participate in Quality System audits, including Internal, ISO, and customer or 2nd party
  • CMM inspections
  • Quality Management Skills
  • Proven experience in quality-related processes
  • Ability to communicate quality goals and requirements to production and management personnel
  • Proficiency with precision tools
  • Experience and knowledge in programming and operation of CMM inspection equipment
  • Strong knowledge of calibration methods and GD&T
  • Experience and knowledge in automotive PPAP and 8D methods
  • Working knowledge of industrial statistics
  • Strong knowledge and experience coordinating ISO systems procedures and documentation

The Successful Applicant

  • Basic understanding of GD&T
  • Working knowledge of CMM (Programming experience is a plus)
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Background in industrial manufacturing (Direct metal stamping experience is preferred)
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Must be willing to be hands-on, active on the floor
