Job Description

  • Lead all quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing, welding, fabrication, and assembly operations.
  • Perform and oversee inspections of components, welds, and assemblies using engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable industry standards.
  • Manage non-destructive testing activities including visual, magnetic particle, dye penetrant, and ultrasonic testing methods.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measurement equipment and tools.
  • Interpret and apply industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage non-conforming materials, corrective actions, root cause investigations, and quality documentation.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Oversee welder qualification, certification, and performance testing programmes.
  • Review and approve welding procedures and qualification records while ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, and Project Management teams to resolve quality concerns and improve operational processes.
  • Track and analyse quality metrics while leading initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and waste.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to quality personnel, welders, and manufacturing teams.

The Successful Applicant

  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
  • Minimum 7 years of quality experience within manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or a related industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and quality requirements.
  • Experience managing weld certification programmes and welder qualifications.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and technical specifications.
  • Experience working with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within heavy manufacturing, structural fabrication, industrial equipment, or related environments.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
