Job Description

This R&D Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Leading cross-functional R&D projects from concept to launch
  • Developing implementation plans including scope, timelines, and resources
  • Translating customer needs into engineering requirements and specifications
  • Designing and testing prototypes and proof of concepts
  • Collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams
  • Utilizing CAD and modeling tools to analyze systems and designs
  • Executing test methods, data analysis, and validation activities
  • Writing technical reports and presenting findings to stakeholders
  • Driving innovation through new product ideas and enhancements
  • Managing risk, issue tracking, and engineering change processes

The Successful Applicant

A Successful R&D Engineer will have:

  • Bachelor's in Textiles, Plastics, or Engineering required
  • 3+ years experience (or 1 year with Master's)
  • Strong project management and leadership skillsCAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Experience with manufacturing processes (extrusion, textiles, etc.)
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab)
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
