Job Description

  • Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed cost estimates
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals
  • Develop budgets, bid packages, and bid comparisons
  • Assist with preconstruction planning and value engineering
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  • Support project handoff to Operations teams upon award
  • Build and maintain subcontractor and supplier relationships
  • Identify project risks and opportunities during the estimating process
  • Conduct occasional project site visits as needed

The Successful Applicant

  • Estimating experience within commercial construction
  • Civil construction estimating experience preferred
  • QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) experience strongly preferred
  • Experience preparing estimates for ground-up commercial projects
  • Strong understanding of construction costs, means, and methods
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with construction estimating software and Microsoft Office
  • Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred but not required
  • Must be located within the Eastern Time Zone
