Job Description

  • Lead the implementation and enforcement of company safety policies, procedures, and best practices across active construction sites.
  • Conduct routine jobsite inspections, audits, and safety assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and project owners to maintain safe working environments.
  • Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, job hazard analyses, and ongoing training programmes for field personnel.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, recommending and tracking corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards on heavy civil, utility, and treatment plant projects.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, hazard awareness, and continuous safety improvement.
  • Travel regularly to project sites across New Jersey, New York and Washington, D.C.

The Successful Applicant

  • 2 to 4 years of safety experience within heavy construction, civil construction, utility construction.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and effectively engage field personnel.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to multiple project sites as required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
