This is an established full-service commercial general contractor with deep roots across the Southeast, delivering projects throughout Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee. Their experience ranges from city halls and public safety facilities to boutique hotels, schools, manufacturing facilities, healthcare and large-scale technical projects, providing the Safety Director with exposure to a genuinely diverse construction portfolio.

Job Description

  • Leading and continuously improving the company-wide safety program
  • Overseeing safety across multiple ground-up commercial construction projects
  • Conducting project site audits, inspections and safety assessments
  • Developing and enforcing site-specific safety plans and risk-management procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
  • Leading safety training, orientations, toolbox talks and ongoing field education
  • Partnering with Superintendents and operational leadership to promote accountability in the field
  • Managing incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions
  • Monitoring safety trends and proactively identifying areas of risk
  • Supporting subcontractor safety compliance and expectations
  • Building a strong, proactive safety-first culture across field operations

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience in a Safety Director, Regional Safety Manager, Senior Safety Manager, or similar construction safety leadership position
  • Strong background within a commercial general contractor
  • Experience supporting ground-up big-box retail, municipal/public-sector and hospitality projects
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and field safety practices
  • Experience managing safety across multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to effectively work with executives, field leadership, subcontractors and clients
  • Strong communication, leadership and relationship-building skills
  • OSHA 30 and relevant construction safety credentials preferred
  • Comfortable supporting projects throughout the Southeast
