Expected to spend a minimum of 90% of time in the field observing and coaching co-workers and Safety Representatives on correction of unsafe conditions and behaviors. Reinforces positive behavior through recognition. Serves as a resource to co-workers by answering questions about safety. Proactively develop safety protocols.

Job Description

The Safety Manager will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform the role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. These are not the exhaustive job duties, but rather a geenral overview of essential duties.

  • Promotes the Company's IIF Culture by being a safety resource on the project site
  • Assists in project compliance with all Safety rules and regulations
  • Conducts jobsite case management
  • Oversees the work of direct reports, and assist with their development
  • Ensures a safe work environment
  • Participates in trainings / continual learning, and obtain relevant certifications as necessary

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Occupational Safety, or related field of study
  • 4+ years in a Concrete-focused safety role
  • Minimum of a certificate in a related field, or construction experience with OSHA 500 training certification.
  • Additional certifications and training helpful
  • Onsite position - travel may be required if residence is not local to site area
