Job Description

The Safety Manager - Government - MD/DC will be responsible for:

  • Leading and implementing company-wide and project-specific safety programmes.
  • Conducting routine site inspections and safety audits.
  • Identifying hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigating incidents and maintain detailed records.
  • Delivering safety orientation and ongoing training programmes.
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Partnering with field leadership and subcontractors to improve job site safety performance.
  • Participating in project planning and risk mitigation initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

The Safety Manager - Government - MD/DC should have:

  • 8+ years of safety experience within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and industry best practices
  • Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Ability to build relationships with both field and office personnel
  • Experience delivering safety training and developing safety programs
  • Familiarity with construction management software and reporting systems
  • OSHA 30 certification required
  • OSHA 500, CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or other safety certifications preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
