Job Description

  • Lead all field operations for ground-up K-12 education construction projects from site development through project completion
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
  • Develop and maintain short-term schedules and three-week look-ahead plans
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards
  • Conduct daily site inspections and subcontractor coordination meetings
  • Lead project safety initiatives and enforce OSHA and company safety requirements
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents for field execution
  • Coordinate inspections with local authorities, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve field issues impacting schedule, budget, or quality
  • Maintain daily reports, site documentation, and progress updates
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to achieve project goals and milestones
  • Manage punch list completion, commissioning activities, and project closeout

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
  • Proven experience leading ground-up K-12 education construction projects
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Southeast on a project basis
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field operations
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trade partners
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
