Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team in Massachusetts. This position will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and support of sophisticated electrical and electronic systems used in advanced manufacturing applications. The successful candidate will contribute throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept and design through validation and production support.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, modify, and evaluate electrical and electronic hardware systems and components.
  • Execute engineering projects involving electromechanical systems, power distribution, controls, robotics, safety interlocks, vacuum systems, and high-voltage applications.
  • Develop project schedules, requirements, verification plans, validation strategies, and design documentation.
  • Participate in concept reviews, design reviews, and technical evaluations throughout the development process.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams, design services groups, and offshore resources to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct testing, analyse results, and implement design improvements.
  • Ensure designs meet safety standards, industry requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Select electrical components and equipment based on technical requirements, performance, and reliability considerations.
  • Support engineering change processes and product lifecycle activities.
  • Interface with suppliers and vendors to support product development initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical or electronic hardware design experience in an engineering environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading or participating in technical design reviews.
  • Familiarity with formal engineering change management processes.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Systems Engineering
    • High Voltage Design
    • RF Power Systems
    • PCB Design
    • Power Distribution Systems
  • Proficiency with electrical design tools such as Altium, PADS, and PSpice.
  • Experience with Creo Schematic, Creo Cabling, AutoCAD, or Windchill is advantageous.
  • Semiconductor capital equipment or advanced manufacturing equipment experience is highly desirable.
