With cutting edge technology and state of the art manufacturing equipment, they have taken the market by storm! Given the growth, they are looking to now identify a Senior Accountant to work closely with the management team to assist with the evolving A&F function.This position plays an integral role in the monthly and annual close processes, contributes to financial analysis initiatives, and identifies opportunities to enhance accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls.Job DescriptionSenior Accountant Responsibilities:Support the monthly financial close process, budgeting activities, forecasting efforts, and performance tracking initiatives.Prepare and review balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations on a recurring basis, researching and resolving any variances.Provide guidance and oversight for junior accounting team members and review their work for accuracy.Develop and distribute recurring financial and operational reports while responding to ad hoc reporting requests from leadership.Assist with external financial reviews and audits, partnering with accounting leadership throughout the process.Gain cross-functional accounting expertise and serve as a resource across key accounting functions when coverage is needed.Foster positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and external business partners.Coordinate with teams across finance, payroll, operations, and other departments to investigate and resolve accounting-related matters.Recommend and implement enhancements to accounting procedures, internal controls, and process efficiencies.Contribute to special projects, management reporting, financial analysis, modeling initiatives, and other strategic assignments as needed.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
