As a Senior Accountant/Accounting Supervisor, this individual will have very high exposure to senior leadership, reporting directly to the Plant Controller and partnering cross-functionally with other plant departments. This is an exciting role where you will have part ownership on the Accounting functions of the plant, helping own the FP&A for the location, cost accounting, and other essential business functions.

Job Description

Senior Accountant/Accounting Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Maintain and analyze standard costs, labor costs, overhead allocations, and variances.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis related to production, labor, materials, and inventory.
  • Support annual standard cost updates and inventory valuation processes.
  • Partner with operations and plant management to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Analyze operating results and prepare management reports highlighting key trends and variances.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of experience in Finance
  • Manufacturing Experience
  • Public Company Experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience interacting with senior leadership
