The business operates in a sophisticated, fast-paced environment where high-quality data and technology are critical to investment decision-making and the continued development of its data intelligence capabilities.Job DescriptionAs Senior Analyst, Data Governance, you will play an execution-focused role within a growing Data Governance program, helping create a high-quality and trusted source of fundamental business data.Key responsibilities include:* Manage day-to-day Data Governance program operations, including defect and enhancement logs, support calls and issue resolution.* Validate data against source systems to identify discrepancies and improve overall data quality.* Translate business needs into structured requirements and lead discovery sessions with key stakeholders.* Document current and future-state workflows and identify opportunities for AI and automation.* Design and execute end-to-end testing for system enhancements, data updates and reporting outputs, including Power BI dashboards.* Investigate master data issues through root cause analysis, data lineage and detailed diagnostics.* Maintain core governance documentation, including data definitions, field structures and business requirements.* Develop subject matter expertise across key technology platforms, including Dealpath, Reltio, Snowflake and Power BI.* Recommend process and technology improvements to enhance data quality and reliability across the organization.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will have:* An undergraduate degree.* 2-5 years of experience within business analysis, data or consulting.* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues into structured solutions.* Excellent attention to detail and strong pattern-recognition skills.* The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.* Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with global stakeholders.* Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Teams, with the ability to quickly learn new technology.* Experience with Snowflake, Power BI, data governance, data quality or process improvement would be highly advantageous.* Exposure to real estate, private equity or asset management is beneficial but not essential.* This position is based in downtown Manhattan and requires candidates to be in the office five days per week.
