The Senior Business Process Manager owns the end-to-end design, governance, and transformation of engineering-to-manufacturing processes, with a primary focus on EBOM/mBOM alignment, engineering change management, and work-in-process (WIP) visibility. This individual will act as both a strategic architect and hands-on implementation leader and cross-functional alignment across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality.

Job Description

Business Process Ownership

  • Lead full lifecycle process design from current-state assessment through implementation and stabilization
  • Ensure accurate EBOM to mBOM transitions to support production readiness
  • Establish reliable WIP visibility to enable operational decision-making



BOM Governance & Strategy

  • Own enterprise BOM governance including structure, lifecycle management, change control, and traceability
  • Define and implement future-state EBOM/mBOM operating models
  • Ensure BOM accuracy to support downstream execution and manufacturing performance



WIP Visibility Framework

  • Define WIP tracking standards (what, when, how, and by whom)
  • Align WIP visibility across engineering, manufacturing, inventory, and planning functions
  • Drive data integrity to ensure WIP is actionable and trusted



Implementation & Transformation Leadership

  • Serve as business lead across ERP/digital transformation lifecycle (blueprinting, build, test, deploy, stabilization)
  • Embed EBOM/mBOM and WIP requirements into system design
  • Identify and resolve risks impacting BOM integrity and visibility
  • Partner with System Integrators in a "two-in-a-box" model while retaining business ownership



Testing & Validation

  • Own testing strategy including end-to-end scenario validation
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide final sign-off



Change Management & Adoption

  • Drive stakeholder engagement, readiness, and adoption of new processes
  • Develop and deliver training materials and enablement programs
  • Reinforce sustainable adoption across all impacted teams



Cross-Functional Integration

  • Ensure alignment across material flow, manufacturing execution, inventory control, planning, costing, and quality functions



Continuous Improvement & KPIs

  • Define and track KPIs including BOM accuracy, change effectiveness, WIP visibility, and throughput
  • Lead post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives



Decision Authority & Governance

  • Hold accountability for process design, UAT outcomes, and deployment readiness
  • Provide guidance on scope prioritization and release sequencing

The Successful Applicant

QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of business process leadership in engineering/manufacturing environments
  • Deep expertise in:
    • EBOM / mBOM governance
    • Engineering-to-manufacturing process design
    • WIP visibility frameworks
  • Experience leading business-driven ERP or digital transformation initiatives
  • Strong partnership experience with IT and System Integrators
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and resolve complex tradeoffs



Preferred

  • Master's degree (MBA or Engineering Management)
  • Experience within large-scale, complex manufacturing environments
  • Certifications such as Lean, Six Sigma, or PMP
