Job Description

Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Senior Estimator will lead all estimating and preconstruction activities while helping shape future processes, systems, and team growth.

  • Lead complete estimating and preconstruction efforts for both ground-up and interior construction projects.
  • Prepare conceptual estimates, detailed budgets, GMP submissions, and competitive bid proposals.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs, scope reviews, subcontractor leveling, and bid evaluations.
  • Develop and expand relationships with subcontractors and suppliers throughout Central Texas.
  • Support value engineering initiatives and identify opportunities to improve project profitability.
  • Maintain historical cost databases, pricing information, and market intelligence.
  • Partner closely with operations teams to ensure seamless project handoffs following award.

The Successful Applicant

For the Senior Estimator we are seeking:

  • 8+ years of commercial construction estimating experience with a general contractor.
  • Proven experience estimating projects ranging from approximately $1M to $10M.
  • Strong background across both ground-up construction and tenant improvement projects.
  • Experience within commercial, retail, restaurant, healthcare, hospitality, or office construction environments.
  • Deep understanding of the Central Texas subcontractor and supplier market.
  • Demonstrated success preparing GMPs, conceptual estimates, and detailed bid packages.
  • Advanced proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Procore and familiarity with Sage or similar construction software platforms.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across operations, field, and executive leadership teams.
  • OSHA certifications and a valid Texas driver's license preferred.
