Job Description

  • Lead packaging innovation strategy, identifying new materials, formats, and finishes aligned with brand positioning and sustainability goals
  • Own the end-to-end packaging development lifecycle from concept through commercialization across multiple product categories
  • Oversee complex tooling and manufacturing processes, including injection molding, custom components, and premium finishes
  • Build and manage a global supplier network, partnering closely on timelines, quality, and cost efficiencies
  • Act as the key cross-functional partner across Product Development, Creative, Operations, and Finance to bring concepts to life
  • Lead and develop a high-performing packaging team, while building scalable processes and systems to support growth

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Director Packaging Engineer & Innovation should have:

  • 10+ years of experience in packaging engineering or innovation within beauty, cosmetics, or luxury consumer goods
  • Deep expertise across materials, tooling, and premium packaging finishes Strong experience working with global suppliers, particularly across Asia and Europe
  • Proven ability to balance innovation strategy with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience partnering with senior leadership or founders to translate creative vision into market-ready products
