Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the Director of Engineering, you'll have significant visibility across the organization and the ability to influence both technical and operational decisions.

Job Description

  • Leading electrical sustaining engineering initiatives for commercialized medical device products
  • Troubleshooting manufacturing and field-related product issues and driving root cause investigations
  • Supporting product reliability, quality, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Managing engineering changes, component updates, and obsolescence strategies
  • Partnering with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to improve production performance
  • Supporting verification, validation, and regulatory compliance activities
  • Establishing electrical engineering best practices, documentation standards, and technical processes
  • Serving as the company's primary subject matter expert for electrical engineering matters

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 6+ years of experience in the medical device manufacturing industry
  • Proven experience supporting released products through sustaining engineering activities
  • Strong troubleshooting, failure analysis, and root cause investigation skills
  • Experience working within FDA-regulated and quality-driven environments
  • Familiarity with engineering change management and product lifecycle support
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple functions
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on, fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience with Class II or Class III medical devices
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485, IEC 60601, and medical device design controls
  • Background supporting manufacturing operations and contract manufacturers
  • Experience managing component obsolescence and supplier-related technical issues
  • Prior experience serving as the lead or sole Electrical Engineer within an organization
