Job Description

  • Prepare detailed conceptual and hard bid estimates for ground-up commercial construction projects
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, and subcontractor scopes
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids
  • Work closely with operations, project management, and leadership teams during preconstruction and bid phases
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities
  • Assist with budgeting, procurement planning, and bid leveling
  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
  • Help ensure bids are competitive, accurate, and aligned with project goals and company standards

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction
  • Ground-up commercial construction experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, site work, and multiple trades
  • Experience reviewing plans, specifications, and subcontractor proposals
  • Proficiency with estimating software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Stable career history demonstrating reliability and long-term commitment
