Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a growing preconstruction team in Raleigh, NC. This individual will play a key role in developing conceptual budgets, design-build estimates, and detailed project cost analyses for complex commercial construction projects.

Job Description

  • Develop conceptual estimates and budgets from early design concepts through completed plans.
  • Prepare cost estimates for design-build and negotiated projects.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation to determine accurate project costs.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction, operations, and project management teams throughout the pursuit process.
  • Estimate self-performed scopes and major trade packages.
  • Participate in value engineering, constructability reviews, and budgeting exercises.
  • Support project pursuits across healthcare, life sciences, assisted living, and other complex commercial sectors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing competitive and comprehensive proposals for prospective clients.

The Successful Applicant

  • 8+ years of construction estimating experience.
  • Proven success developing conceptual and design-build estimates.
  • Experience estimating complex commercial construction projects.
  • Healthcare, life sciences, assisted living, higher education, or similarly complex project experience strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to concrete and structural concrete scopes is highly desirable.
  • Prior project management experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated career stability with a consistent employment history.
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Raleigh, NC.
