The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in the preconstruction process, leading cost estimating efforts and helping ensure projects are delivered successfully from concept through award. Working closely with operations, project management, subcontractors, and leadership teams, you will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive project estimates while identifying opportunities to drive value for clients

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established, employee-owned general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction, preconstruction, and design-build services across a diverse portfolio of projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their Nashville team.

Job Description

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects to support accurate budgets and bids.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and scope documents to identify labor, material, and equipment needs.
  • Request and compare pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to build reliable cost assumptions.
  • Develop quantity takeoffs and organize estimate details for clear review.
  • Track pricing information and update estimates when project requirements change.
  • Work with construction team members to clarify scope, assumptions, and project needs.
  • Present estimate summaries that help stakeholders understand project costs and bid details.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Estimator should have:

  • Experience preparing cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and project scope documents.
  • Ability to complete quantity takeoffs and organize estimate information.
  • Experience gathering and comparing supplier and subcontractor pricing.
  • Knowledge of labor, material, and equipment cost factors.
  • Ability to explain estimate assumptions and cost details clearly.
