Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Industrial - Portland, ME

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:

• Develop and implement innovative manufacturing processes for precision-machined products.
• Lead process development activities, including capacity planning, cost analysis, and new product launches.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Optimize machining operations including grinding, honing, turning, and milling processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Design tooling, fixtures, gauges, and manufacturing process improvements.
• Evaluate, justify, and manage capital equipment projects from concept through implementation.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to enhance manufacturability and product performance.
• Support PFMEA development and continuous improvement activities.
• Interface directly with customers regarding manufacturability, process capability, and quality requirements.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, procedures, and engineering standards.
