A fast growing, advanced manufacturing organization in the aerospace sector is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to help scale production of next generation high performance components. This company is at the forefront of materials innovation and precision manufacturing, supporting critical applications in turbomachinery and energy efficiency.

Job Description

  • Develop and optimize complex manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce defects, and increase throughput
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for process and quality issues
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Support equipment and tooling selection, validation, and ongoing performance
  • Create and maintain detailed process documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and process flows
  • Partner with R&D and production teams on new product introduction and process scale up
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems and aerospace standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP
  • Promote a strong safety culture including proper handling of specialized materials and equipment
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to production teams

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar field or equivalent experience
  • 5 to 8+ years of relevant manufacturing experience in a high throughput environment
  • Background in ceramics, composites, injection molding, or advanced materials manufacturing
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools such as SPC and DOE
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies
  • CAD experience such as SolidWorks, NX, or AutoCAD
  • Strong problem solving and cross functional communication skills
