Job Description

  • Lead the development, optimization, and implementation of complex CNC machining processes and multi-axis programming strategies.
  • Serve as the technical authority for advanced manufacturing process development and machining operations.
  • Design scalable production processes that transition successfully from prototype development through full-scale manufacturing.
  • Develop, implement, and govern engineering standards, methodologies, tooling strategies, fixturing approaches, and process documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, repeatability, and productivity.
  • Establish documentation best practices and maintain accurate manufacturing records within ERP systems.
  • Implement advanced quality control methodologies, process verification techniques, metrology systems, and statistical process controls.
  • Partner closely with customers and internal stakeholders to translate technical requirements into effective manufacturing solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives and resolve complex manufacturing challenges.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineering and manufacturing personnel to strengthen technical capability across the organization.
  • Evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies, machining methodologies, and programming techniques to enhance overall business performance.
  • Manage multiple technical projects simultaneously while ensuring delivery to quality, cost, and schedule expectations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Significant experience in manufacturing engineering and CNC process development.
  • Expert knowledge of multi-axis machining, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale operations from prototype production to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Strong experience developing standardized processes, documentation, and quality systems.
  • Advanced understanding of GD&T, metrology, dimensional inspection, and quality management principles.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
  • Proven mentorship and leadership capability with a passion for developing other engineers.
  • Experience within regulated manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with advanced CAM software such as Hypermill or ESPRIT would be highly beneficial.
  • Engineering, manufacturing, or related technical qualifications preferred, supported by relevant industry experience.
