Job Description

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, and components for both new and existing products.
  • Lead mechanical engineering activities throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to final release.
  • Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct engineering analyses including tolerance studies, thermal and structural assessments, and design-for-manufacture evaluations.
  • Develop test plans, evaluate performance data, and recommend design enhancements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure products are practical, scalable, and cost-effective to produce.
  • Support prototype builds, validation activities, and new product launches.
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Engage with suppliers and external partners to support component development and product improvements.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and internal quality requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally within a research and development or product development environment.
  • Strong experience using 3D CAD software; knowledge of NX, Creo, or Windchill would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience managing product development activities, prototyping, and testing processes.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design, material selection, manufacturing methods, and engineering best practices.
  • Ability to create and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other business functions.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
