Job Description

  • Drive improvements to manufacturing processes using data-driven methodologies and structured problem-solving techniques
  • Plan and execute validation activities for new equipment, tooling, and production processes
  • Analyze performance data to identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and expected outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D and operations to ensure manufacturability of new products
  • Create and refine technical specifications for equipment and production systems
  • Support the transition of new processes into full-scale production, including training and documentation
  • Establish control plans and monitoring systems to sustain process improvements
  • Contribute to broader operational excellence initiatives across multiple sites
  • Act as a technical liaison between engineering, production, and project teams

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (Mechanical or Industrial considered with relevant experience)
  • 5-9 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, process validation, and root cause problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma tools)
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and professional development
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic and international

Preferred:

  • Experience with statistical software such as Minitab
  • Background in plastics, textiles, or related manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with web-based or converting processes
