Job Description

  • Lead all preconstruction and estimating activities for ground-up commercial projects valued at $15M+.
  • Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed cost estimates.
  • Manage quantity takeoffs, budget development, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operations, project management, design teams, and subcontractors throughout the preconstruction process.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
  • Support strategic business growth through accurate project planning and competitive bid delivery.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Preconstruction Manager should have:

  • 5+ years of commercial construction estimating or preconstruction experience.
  • Proven experience supporting or leading ground-up projects valued at $15 million or greater.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Demonstrated success in education, institutional, or commercial construction environments.
  • Proficiency with Timberline, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work within commuting distance of the client's regional office locations.
  • Leadership capability with the ambition to progress into a senior departmental role.
