Job Description

The Senior Process Engineer will report directly into the VP of Engineering and be responsible for:

  • Develop, document, and optimize braiding and spiral process parameters, including setup sheets, process windows, and standard work instructions.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for braiding and spiral hose manufacturing operations.
  • Partner with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and process efficiency.
  • Lead and support product qualification and validation testing, including pressure, burst, impulse, and environmental testing.
  • Analyze and improve braid and spiral reinforcement designs, including coverage, pick count, tension control, and carrier configurations.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet product performance requirements for pressure, flexibility, and service life.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and operational excellence.
  • Assist with testing strategies, validation protocols, and certification efforts.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in hose, flexible conduit, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience with horizontal braiders, spiral hose lines, or similar equipment.
  • Experience with bobbin winding and wire twisting processes.
  • Strong understanding of stainless-steel wire processing, including wire drawing and work-hardening principles.
  • Knowledge of braiding and spiral reinforcement design fundamentals.
  • Experience developing and standardizing manufacturing processes and documentation.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a hands-on production environment.
  • Must be authorized to work on programs subject to aerospace/defense compliance requirements.
