Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy, portfolio management, and product development initiatives across its aerospace and rail solutions business. This role serves as the voice of the customer, working directly with major industry partners including airlines, OEMs, and distribution partners to identify market opportunities, translate customer insights into product enhancements and innovation pipelines, and drive long-term business growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a portfolio of specialty chemical products, driving product strategy, lifecycle management, material improvements, pricing recommendations, and overall portfolio performance.
  • Build and execute a strong Voice of Customer (VOC) process by working directly with airlines, OEMs, distributors, and end users to identify market needs, customer challenges, and emerging opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a 3-5 year product innovation pipeline, translating customer feedback and market intelligence into actionable product development initiatives and commercial opportunities.
  • Partner closely with R&D, Sales, Customer Service, and international stakeholders to guide new product development efforts from concept through commercialization.
  • Serve as a key customer-facing representative of the business, spending significant time with strategic accounts
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with domestic and international teams to develop growth strategies, support go-to-market initiatives, and drive continued expansion across aerospace, rail, and related markets.

The Successful Applicant

  • 7+ years of product management, product line management, or product development experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably supporting specialty chemicals, aerospace, industrial, or other highly technical products.
  • Proven experience translating Voice of Customer (VOC) insights into product enhancements, new product development initiatives, and long-term innovation pipelines.
  • Background working with aerospace OEMs, airlines, MRO organizations, specialty chemical manufacturers, or other technical B2B industries where customer requirements drive product strategy.
  • Demonstrated ownership of product portfolios, including product lifecycle management, roadmap development, commercialization, portfolio optimization, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Comfortable serving as a customer-facing business leader, regularly engaging with key accounts, gathering market intelligence, identifying growth opportunities, and building strong relationships with customers and industry stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of accountability and ownership who thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment and is excited by the opportunity to influence business strategy while positioning themselves for future leadership growth.
