Our client is an industrial manufacturing site, working in highly regulated industries like aerospace.

Job Description

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals are achieved.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop production personnel, team leads, and supervisors across the facility.
  • Drive workforce productivity and performance in a hands-on manufacturing environment consisting of manual and semi-automated production processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, Quality Systems (QS), and Maintenance to support production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and improve key operational metrics including productivity, efficiency, scrap, quality, labor utilization, and on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate staffing, workforce planning, training, scheduling, and overtime management to meet production demands.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, process efficiency, waste reduction, and operational performance.
  • Lead problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions related to production, quality, and operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Serve as a visible leader on the manufacturing floor, providing daily support, accountability, and direction to production teams.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of manufacturing, production, or operations leadership experience within an industrial, aerospace, plastics, polymer, medical device, or engineered products manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing supervisors, operators, assemblers, production associates, or other hands-on manufacturing labor teams.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Quality Systems (QS), Engineering, Planning, and Maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling, workforce planning, labor management, and manufacturing KPIs.
  • Experience driving productivity improvements, process improvements, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational performance metrics.
  • Background in labor-intensive manufacturing environments where manual production, assembly, fabrication, molding, extrusion, or similar manufacturing processes are performed.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.
