My client, one of the longest operating general contractors in the Greater Milwaukee area, is looking to hire a Sr. Project Manager to manage a wide portfolio of commercial, healthcare, and residential projects up to $60M. The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable and emotionally intelligent. This person will be skilled at communicating with clients and subcontractors. All six owners of the company started as employees, an offering every employee is eligible for.

Job Description

  • Assume overall on-site leadership, coordination, and management of construction projects, ensuring strict adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Direct and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and regulations, and proactively address any construction-related challenges that arise.
  • Optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and project efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and timely completion.
  • Maintain meticulous project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and community stakeholders, fostering open communication and exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Enforce stringent safety protocols to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all project personnel.

The Successful Applicant

  • Plan, execute, and monitor all phases of the construction project life-cycle, including design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Prepare and present project reports, including status updates, financial analysis, and risk assessments, to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Manage and mentor project teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve project objectives.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to drive continuous improvement in project management processes.
