Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, execution and delivery of capital projects across a complex industrial facility. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical judgement, contractor management expertise and a commitment to quality, safety and operational excellence.

  • Manage multiple capital projects ranging from facility upgrades through to major expansion initiatives.
  • Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, specifications and risk assessments.
  • Lead engineering, procurement and construction activities through project execution and commissioning.
  • Manage external contractors, consultants and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
  • Establish and oversee quality assurance and quality control processes throughout project delivery.
  • Coordinate permitting and regulatory requirements with applicable authorities.
  • Deliver detailed project reporting, documentation and handover packages to operations and maintenance teams.

The Successful Applicant

For the Senior Project Manager we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience managing capital projects within chemical processing, petrochemical, refining, bulk liquids storage, terminal operations, industrial manufacturing or similar heavy industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated success delivering projects ranging from approximately $500K to $50M+.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design, construction management, procurement and contractor oversight.
  • Experience driving quality assurance, documentation control and project governance.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, safety and permitting requirements within industrial facilities.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel and project reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-starter mentality with strong attention to detail, initiative and a hands-on approach to project execution.
