Job Description

  • Execute purchase orders and manage supplier communications to ensure timely material delivery
  • Proactively expedite orders and resolve supply chain issues impacting production
  • Analyze historical usage, lead times, and demand trends to establish and maintain inventory targets
  • Manage replenishment settings, reorder points, safety stock levels, and inventory optimization initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to reduce inventory costs while maintaining material availability
  • Partner with production and warehouse teams to improve material flow and replenishment processes
  • Support implementation of lean and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor supplier performance and develop scorecards and performance metrics
  • Assist with supplier negotiations, cost reduction projects, and alternative sourcing efforts
  • Maintain ERP data integrity and support purchasing-related reporting activities

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, materials, or inventory management experience within manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, forecasting, and material planning concepts
  • Experience working with ERP systems and MRP-driven environments
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles is a plus
