Job Description

  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues in metal fabrication processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Perform audits on production processes to ensure adherence to established quality standards.
  • Train and mentor staff on quality procedures and best practices.
  • Analyze data and generate reports to monitor quality performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee supplier quality assurance processes and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce waste.

The Successful Applicant

  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in quality engineering focusing on manufacturing quality within the electrical industry or a related industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a similar technical field required Experience in production SHEET METAL from a quality/operational perspective
  • Advanced knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
    • Demonstrated track record of leading and successfully completing large-scale quality improvement projects. Proven ability to solve complex quality problems and implement effective process improvements.
    • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 9001.
    • Demonstrated experience in process analytics with a broad knowledge of quality tools and industry metrics. Six sigma experience preferred.
    • Experience supporting RMA/Non-conforming material/Rejects (NMR) activities with interdepartmental coordination.

    • Great project management skills, able to successfully lead project teams through ambiguity and constantly changing business needs.
    • Sound interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience
