Our client is looking for a Senior Quality Systems Engineer who will be focusing on supporting and executing all activities with the development, review, implementation, and maintenance of procedures and quality standards. The Senior Quality Systems Engineer will also support and oversee document control activities.

Job Description

  • Conduct internal, customer, and supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality policies, procedures, and systems in accordance with ISO, IATF, AS, and other applicable standards.
  • Manage document control processes, create training materials, and promote adherence to documentation best practices.
  • Review, update, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) documentation, including customer satisfaction reporting.
  • Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities, corrective action reviews, management review meetings, and monthly management reporting.
  • Partner with Quality Management to drive key continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable government regulations and industry requirements.
  • Monitor and verify departmental performance against established quality metrics and objectives.
  • Prepare and present regular quality performance reports to senior leadership.
  • Evaluate and ensure supplier compliance with company quality standards and expectations.
  • Serve as a resource for Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) initiatives, inquiries, and process improvements across all departments.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree within engineering or a related field
  • Background in metals manufacturing preferred
  • Experience with at least two of the following standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, and/or AS9100)
  • 5+ years of quality experience within manufacturing
  • Document control experience
  • Problem-solving experience with Root Cause Analysis and CAPA
  • Experience with quality Core Tools - PPAPs, FMEA, SPC, Control Plan, etc.
