Job Description

  • Act as the primary supply chain and procurement point of contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring material availability aligns with customer demand and production schedules.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that support both existing production requirements and new product introduction initiatives.
  • Execute the full purchase order lifecycle, ensuring orders are placed accurately and in alignment with forecasts, demand signals, and contractual agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, proactively manage delivery commitments, and communicate supply risks or schedule changes to key stakeholders.
  • Identify, qualify, and implement alternate sourcing solutions to mitigate shortages, reduce risk, and maintain production continuity.
  • Lead material expediting efforts and supplier follow-up activities to ensure timely delivery and resolve critical supply constraints.
  • Establish inventory stocking strategies that balance service levels, inventory turns, and working capital objectives.
  • Analyze demand changes, backlog movement, and inventory trends to support informed decision-making and operational alignment.
  • Provide regular status updates to cross-functional teams, outlining risks, action plans, ownership, and timeline expectations.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to improve supply chain performance, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery metrics.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 7+ years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or materials management experience within manufacturing, electronics, or high-tech environments.
  • Strong sourcing and supplier management experience, ideally including electronic components and technical commodities.
  • Proven success managing shortages, executing material expediting activities, and supporting production requirements.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with strong Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP system experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide clear status updates and recommendations.
  • Experience operating in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and customer demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify root causes, manage risk, and drive corrective action through cross-functional collaboration.
