We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee ground-up and renovation projects within the grocery and fuel retail sector across the Southeast. This individual will play a critical leadership role on-site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

A well-established Southeast-based general contractor with 30+ years of experience, specializing in retail, grocery, and fuel (c-store) projects. Known for strong client relationships (high repeat business), a solid pipeline, and delivering fast-paced projects on time and on budget.

Job Description

  • Lead day-to-day on-site construction operations from mobilization through closeout
  • Manage subcontractors, field staff, and site logistics across multiple projects
  • Coordinate schedules, inspections, and material deliveries
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and quality expectations
  • Maintain strong communication with project managers, clients, and stakeholders
  • Track progress and proactively resolve field issues to keep projects on schedule
  • Oversee site documentation, reporting, and punch list completion

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
  • Proven expertise with grocery store and/or gas station (fuel) projects required
  • Strong knowledge of ground-up and remodel projects, ideally in retail environments
  • Ability to manage fast-paced schedules and multiple subcontractors
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Southeast
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
