Job Description

  • Lead product safety assessments and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify potential safety risks and partner with engineering teams to incorporate effective mitigation strategies into product designs.
  • Manage global compliance activities, certifications, audits, and relationships with testing laboratories and certification organizations.
  • Conduct hazard analyses, risk assessments, FMEAs, and root cause investigations to address safety and compliance concerns.
  • Develop testing protocols, review validation results, and recommend design improvements to enhance product safety and compliance performance.
  • Serve as a technical advisor during design reviews, ensuring safety and environmental requirements are integrated early in development.
  • Prepare, maintain, and present compliance documentation, certification records, and regulatory submissions.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance related to safety engineering, compliance standards, and best practices.
  • Monitor evolving international regulations and proactively implement compliance strategies to minimize risk and maintain certifications.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Safety, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • 5 to 8+ years of experience in product safety engineering, compliance engineering, or a related technical field within a regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of global safety and compliance standards, including SEMI, NFPA, IEC, UL, CE, ISO, RoHS, and related regulations.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, FMEAs, and safety-related root cause investigations.
  • Functional Safety experience evaluating PLC-based safety systems.
  • Experience conducting SISTEMA evaluations and working with radiation-emitting equipment is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CPSE, or CCP are preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
