Job Description

The Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Managing day-to-day construction activities on-site from mobilization through project completion.
  • Leading subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain project schedules and productivity.
  • Ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinating site logistics, sequencing, and workforce planning to support efficient project execution.
  • Monitoring quality control and ensuring work meets contract documents and project specifications.
  • Conducting project meetings and providing regular progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Identifying and proactively resolving field challenges to minimize schedule disruptions.
  • Collaborating closely with project management teams on budgeting, scheduling, and change management.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, reporting, and site records.
  • Building positive relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and trade partners.

The Successful Applicant

The Superintendent must have:

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projects.
  • Background overseeing renovation, restoration, institutional, government, or mission-critical projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, scheduling, and sequencing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead subcontractors and field teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining exceptional safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in active construction environments.
  • Proficiency with construction management technology and project reporting tools.
  • Stable employment history and a track record of successfully delivering projects.
