My client is seeking experienced Commercial Superintendents with a background in commercial interiors, tenant improvements, retail, and renovation projects in the Charlotte market. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with company leadership while helping deliver a wide range of commercial projects valued between approximately $300K and $5M.

Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Superintendent will be:

  • Manage and deliver commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Lead field operations, project coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, brokers, developers, and project stakeholders.
  • Oversee commercial interior renovations, tenant upfits, retail projects, restaurant construction, and select ground-up developments.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Coordinate project communication between clients, field teams, subcontractors, and leadership.
  • Identify and resolve project challenges proactively to maintain quality and client satisfaction.
  • Support the company's continued growth through strong project execution and relationship management.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Superintendent will have the following:

  • Experience as a Commercial Superintendent within the construction industry.
  • Proven background in commercial interiors, tenant improvements, renovations, or retail construction.
  • Knowledge of the Charlotte construction market and established local industry relationships preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining high levels of professionalism and communication.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Self-motivated professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial, high-autonomy environment.
  • Ability to work directly with ownership and contribute to business growth.
